I haven’t seen Girls and I probably never will but I wanted to post this here because I DO THIS TOO. Seriously, what is it about reading John Ashbery aimlessly in public that almost always leads to the bursts of insight necessary for good long form writing?  I want someone to study the science behind this phenomenon and report back to me.
